Jazzy Apple Jam

We experimented with a new recipe last night and It was a success! This was our first attempt at making jam, so our expectations were low. The sweetness from the apple synergizes well with the strong flavour of our jasmine green tea. Here's the recipe:

Apple Jasmine Green Tea Jam


  • 3 apples (We are using BC Gala Apples)
  • 4 oz hot water
  • 3 tbsp Jazzy Jade
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 lemon

Boil water and steep the tea for a minimum of 15 minutes. Meanwhile, peel and chop your apples into 1" pieces.

Fill a bowl with cold water and add lemon juice. Add the chopped apples to the lemon water as you work (it helps prevent the apples from turning brown). When you are ready to cook, discard the water.

Combine the chopped apples with 4oz of tea and boil for 15 minutes. Add sugar and cook for an additional 15 minutes. Add lemon zest.

Finally, depending on your texture preference, you can use a hand blender or potato masher to blend the Jam. Let it cool before refrigerating and enjoy!
